Princess to Q.U.E.E.N.S. is a unique program designed specifically for 4th thru 12th grade students of Cornerstone Schools. The acronym part of our name stands for Queens Uniquely Educated and Equipped with Never-failing Success. Our mission is to empower young ladies to “live motivated, inspired, and enriched lives in obedience to the instruction of Jesus; to be women who seek Him for direction in all areas of their lives as they live to glorify Him and be examples to others of His love.”

Q.U.E.E.N.S. was established in 2013 to develop a sisterhood amongst the 8th grade ladies at the Cornerstone Private School, Nevada Campus. It began with five female staff members meeting weekly with fifteen 8th grade students to discuss issues girls face in school and in relationships. The following year, we shifted to an after-school model to allow for a greater variety of activities. The Princess portion of the program was established in 2016 as a pathway to begin the journey of sisterhood for a younger group of girls. Sharing the same vision, mission, and goals of Q.U.E.E.N.S., it provides age-appropriate activities for students in the 4th and 5th grade (9-11 year olds).

The activities of Q.U.E.E.N.S. are customized annually (via a questionnaire) to meet the needs of the individual ladies involved. With the main focus on developing their identity as young women of God, we utilize fun and relatable activities to make their experiences both memorable and applicable to daily life. They work together to build solid lifelong relationships, first with themselves and God, and then with each other. Both Princess and Q.U.E.E.N.S. address certain standard topics every year that are important for all young women; these include self-awareness and figuring out one’s identity, growing in a relationship with Jesus, the difference between friends and associates, leadership, etiquette, nutrition and hygiene, fashion and discovering one’s unique style. Money management and learning the power of attitudes and adjusting them for success are a few of the additional topics that will be covered in the 2018-19 school year.

Each year in the fall, the Princess and Q.U.E.E.N.S. ladies campaign for President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. Those elected serve on the Lady QUEENS Council to assist with decisions for the year, including those pertaining to fundraising events and off-campus activities. Princess and Q.U.E.E.N.S. members participate in community service such as the Princess Pantry (collecting dry-goods and non-perishables) and The QUEEN’S Qloset (organizing a clothing and shoes drive for local shelters). In 2016, we also launched our first annual Pre-Mother’s Day Brunch and Fashion Show, and we plan to continue this event for years to come.

In the fall of 2018, we are forming the Q.U.E.E.N.S. High School Candidacy Chapter called “Magnificent Women.” The ladies must meet certain weekly criteria prior to being accepted into the organization. They also will be paired with a current Q.U.E.E.N.S. inductee and be challenged in weekly activities during a 6-8 week process. Upon successful completion of the process, the ladies will participate in a Candidacy Night where they will be welcomed by their sisters as permanent lifetime members.

As stated, lifelong relationship is an explicit goal of Q.U.E.E.N.S. Beginning in the 7th grade, ladies must meet the criteria to be inducted into the organization in the 8th grade for lifetime membership, and a formal induction ceremony is followed by our annual, Mind, Body and Soul Retreat. Our aim is to maintain relationship with the ladies well beyond their school years and to serve as life mentors. We encourage them to return and pay it forward by volunteering, donating, speaking, and sharing their unique life experiences as they continue on their journeys through womanhood.

Attention Parents!

Every young lady who participates in Princess to Q.U.E.E.N.S. will improve on their character while building upon the values instilled in them by parents and family. Our goal is to assist parents in raising well-rounded, productive young women who are champions in life and able to reach back and help another.

We believe the effectiveness of the program for your young lady depends heavily on your assistance, especially helping them be present for activities and meetings. Because of this, we will ask you to take a pledge along with your daughter.

Want to impact the life of a young lady? Volunteer just once a week for the duration of the school year to mentor, encourage, and uplift our future women of destiny… and watch your life change as well!
